Dear
Friends,
It is now
officially the New Year. 2008. Eight in biblical numerology means a new
beginnings. Are you ready for a new beginning? Especially a new beginning
with God. Where every day you get up and see what good things he has in
store for you that day and how he may use you to accomplish the furtherance
of his kingdom. God is so good and has only good in mind for you. His word
tells us this in Jeremiah that He has plans for our good and not for our
harm. Of course God has plans for our good where would he get any bad plans
for us, he doesn't have any bad in him so where would he get plans for our
harm. It is so wonderful to rest in the knowledge that God has us in mind
and he has just plans to prosper us and do us good. How great is our God.
Since we
last visited I have had Christmas and a birthday. I have now enjoyed the
32nd anniversary of my 30th birthday. You see I now longer have birthdays
just anniversaries. It just doesn't matter what you call them as long as
the gifts roll in. This year my children gave me a digital picture frame.
You can download pictures from the computer or a digital camera and then
have them continuously scroll. What a wonderful new contraption.
We have been
watching Kenneth Copeland's daily broadcast with Leroy Thompson. If you do
not watch this program you are missing out on some good teaching. Actually
this past week they have been talking about just what I opened with. God
wants to do good to and for you. He just loves you that much. I cannot not
stop saying, “How Great is out God”. The first weekend in January we were
blessed to go to Eagle Pass, Texas to minister. It was really good and God
showed up to perform signs and wonders to confirm his Word. Isn't it
wonderful that He still does that. He still confirms his Word with signs
and wonders. How great is our God!
I must admit
to you that my gardens have suffered over the past few months. This is such
a dreary time of year in south Texas. Everything is brown. But it beats
everything being white. I do have a few roses that are blooming but I
haven't been very faithful to feed and weed them. Maybe some day I will be
able to include a photo of my garden so you can see what I am talking about.
I know you are probably just holding your breath until I do this, right!
My beloved
wants me to help develop our newsletter to our partners. I am not sure I am
up to the task but all I can do is try. He will change it anyway but he
just wants me to feel like I am a part of our ministry. He is such a good
man. I sure could use some suggestions from you. What do you like to see
in a monthly partnership letter? Email us and let us know.
Well I think
I have dribbled on long enough. So see you next time,
In His Love,
PATTI
PS
Try when you
get up each day to say, “Nothing but the best, that is what God wants for
me, Nothing but the best; and that is what I shall have when I speak it in
faith and do not doubt!
