Dear
Friends,
I am so
delighted you have found our website and I trust you will visit us often as
we will make changes from time to time. My husband's book will be out soon
so I am sure you will want to keep checking for it.
Recently I
was blessed in having our three grown children with us on Mothers Day. My
oldest son, David Jr, is an artist and lives with his wife Bassia in
Mexico. So they are not always with us for family gatherings. Therefore,
it was a special treat to not only have our son, Jereme, and our daughter,
Stacie along with her husband Brian and our grandchildren,Katie and Logan
but also to have David Jr here for Sunday dinner. Of course they all came
bearing gifts which was pretty nice too. God is good to me. I 'm his
favorite daughter. My sister, Joyce, thinks she is but I know better.
As I
mentioned last time I like to read historical novels. I am currently reading
two series by Gilbert Moris. One is about Texas covering the times before
and after the Fall of the Alamo; at least that is so far in the series. The
other one is called American Century and that takes place around the time
automobiles and planes were being invented; Teddy Roosevelt and the rough
riders helped win the Spanish American War. I have also read his series
called The House of Winslow which follows a family from England to the
settling in this new country going through periods of time until the current
century. So you get the idea I like historical Christian novels where a
character interacts with people who were actually alive during the period
being written about. I have also enjoyed the books written by Brock and
Bodie Thoene covering the time of Nazi occupation and the atrocities done to
the Jews, God's People.
All of these
are great but they don't take the place of the best book every written, the
Bible. There are many stories of biblical character who lived actual lives
which teach us how we should respond or live at this time. God provides us
with examples of every situation regarding our lives and how we should live
them committed to Him, giving to the Church and other miniseries as God
guides and then just be directed by the Holy Spirit and live in love with
your fellow man and the man who lives next door. If they do not know Jesus
as Lord and Savior maybe it is your responsibility to lead them to the
Lord, but only do this as the Holy Spirit guides as He must also prepare the
heart of the unbeliever to hear words that will bring him peace.
God loves us
so much and we in turn need to be in love with Him and tell Him so. He
needs to hear the words not just the thoughts it in your mind but actually
tell him you love Him.. Just say, “ God I love you, Holy Spirit I love you,
Jesus I love you”. Now isn't that easy and if you will listen they will
whisper back. “I love you, too.
Well friends
let me close for now and just tell you I love you and look forward to our
next visit.
Patti
