Dear
Friends,
Another
month has literally flown by. I have been busy in my gardens; planting new
flowers, adding seed packets and some beautiful rose bushes. My back and
front yards are now a panorama of color. God's paint brush of flowers with
their colors and scents contrasting and complementing each other. They
remind me of people. Some are very different from the others but all are in
the family of God so they also contrast but also compliment each other.
Will it not be wonderful when we all desire to be all that God wants us to
be. Each one so in love with Jesus that it just spills over and we are
loving each other.
I am sure
you know it is not only a choice to love others but it is a commandment.
Jesus said “This is a new commandment I give you. That you are to love one
another as I have loved you and by this will all know you are my
disciples” That may not be an exact quote but you know what I am referring
to, right. The Rose cannot say to the Zinnia I have no need of you. You
may be pretty but you do not smell good like I do. No it does not matter if
we are all are identical, it only matters that we all love each other as
Jesus said we must.. We do not all have to be alike as in uniformity but we
do all have to come in to unity and love one another as God for Christ's
sake loves us. God is so good and if we will allow His love to fill our
hearts He will help us to love even those we consider unlovely.
So this month I challenge you to find someone that
is not on your “love list” and start to pray for them daily. I am sure that
as you do this you will begin to think of them in a whole different light.
Because you cannot sincerely pray for someone and not start to think of
them differently than you did before. And then I think you will find love
will start to grow.
By the way, I was right, my sister Joyce does
operate under the misguided idea that she is God's favorite daughter. As
you and I both know, that is my title and position and I am sticking to it.
She may have been born first but right after me she can be God's favorite!
I love her but she has to realize God has selected me for favorite daughter
status and she can be first right after me.
As you can see David's book is now available. We
are so excited about it. And I trust that as you read it you will enjoy it
as much as I did when I read it. It is hard to believe but he is already
about half way through book two. I am not sure you know it but this is a
three book series on events from the garden to the throne room of heaven. I
am sure you will not want to miss any of it.
