HI!
It's me
again. I can't promise you that I will be very good. My husband is so
consistent in his work habits but not me. It is obvious but I am not and
have never been a good correspondent. I do love you all and have missed
visiting with you. I have no excuses in why I haven't written to you. I am
just too lazy to put my thoughts down on paper. Thank God He was not too
busy to tell us He loves us. That is what the bible is God's love letter to
His dear children. No one will ever love us like He does.
What does
love mean to you? Love is not a gushy emotion. Love, the God kind of love
that we are to have for each other and for him is a choice. It is a
decision on the behalf of the giver that I will love you no matter what. It
is not about what you do or not do, it is not about how you act or do not
act. It is simply a decision that nothing can separate you from my love.
It is a fact that we will often have opportunities to have our love factor
tested. But that is okay because I have made up my mind, my will and my
emotions that I will love you. Testing only makes a thing stronger. That is
why the bible tells us that when we have been tested we will come through as
fine gold. Testing by fire purifies the material that is being tested.
Testing by fire also purifies us. Of course, no testing for the moment
seems good but the result is terrific. Don't you wish that you could see
things like God does. God calls the end from the beginning. That is the
way He wants us to do also. So when you decide that from the beginning the
end result is I am going to love you. It is a done deal.
You may have
wondered where I have been these many months. We have been busy traveling
some with David preaching at some of our satellite churches. We have been
to Maine this summer where he preached in two churches and we are getting
ready to go again in October and he will again preach at some of the
churches. We also will be attending a medical convention for his internal
medicine continuing education requirements.
It is
election year. What an important event. I trust you are registered to
vote. It is important for everyone to vote but especially Christians. The
important thing to remember when you go into the voting booth is vote the
bible.
Vote the
bible's view on abortion, stem cell research, homosexuality, finances.
The bible
has an opinion on all these issues. If you need more help you can usually
get a good voter guide from some Christian resources.
