I exhort therefore, that, first of all,
supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all
men;
For kings, and for all that are in authority; that
we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of
God our Saviour;
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come
unto the knowledge of the truth.
For there is one God, and one mediator between God
and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified
in due time.

UNITY OF THE
FAITH
A Commonality of
Revealed Knowledge
By
Dr. David R. Wood
In the fall
of 2011 a firestorm erupted for a season about whether a certain religion was a
cult and if a certain prominent person was a cult member. Many questions and
discussions could be heard with views by some that they were Christian and by
other that they were a cult. A week of so later I heard a sermon supporting the
idea that this religion was indeed a cult. So by extension this person was a
cult member. The lens used to judge was what you and I might recognize as a
common “Statement of Faith” that you could find in many mainline Pentecostal
denominations. And this Statement of Faith had certain features in common with
other denominations as well. The point was that because the Statement of Faith
for this religion did not line up with ours it was certainly a cult. To say a
religion is a cult is to judge those in that religion as lost and on their way
to hell eternally.MORE Click Here
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
they shall prosper that love thee.
Peace be within thy walls, and
prosperity within thy palaces.
For my brethren and companions'
sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.
Because of the house of the LORD
our God I will seek thy good.
Psalm 122:6-9
Pray For Our Enemies
But I
say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you,
do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which
despitefully use you, and persecute you; Matthew
5:44.
