The Light

THE LIGHT
ARE YOU NAKED? – PART
THREE
Praise the Lord
for each and every one who logs onto this website! I pray that these monthly
articles spur you to study and grow in Him for the day of the Lord is rapidly
approaching. It is time for all of us to grow up into the fulness of Him.
Ephesians 3:19 (KJV)
19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye
might be filled with all the fulness of God.
Ephesians 4:15 (KJV)
15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all
things, which is the head, even Christ:
Notice in both of
these verses that growing up into the fulness of God, of Christ is directly
related to our love walk. When things are not working in your life look at your
love walk and look at the love God has for you because you may be missing
something in that area. Ask the Lord for more light concerning love. Well that
is another study.
In our Church I
have been teaching more and more about the seven pillars of society.
Proverbs 9:1 (KJV)
1 Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:
Of course, the
Church should be the greatest of these pillars and give life and light to all
the others. When Jesus was tempted in the wilderness Satan took Him to a high
mountain (the seat of his power) and showed Jesus all the kingdoms of the world
(the seven pillars of society). At the cross Jesus triumphed over Satan
(Colossians 2:15) and returned the authority and power over this world to the
sons of God. All born again persons are the children of God and all can become
sons of God. Becoming a son of God is a process and involves taking to
ourselves the implements of this warfare. We must also know how to use these
implements or how to wear our clothing. We must be aware of Spiritual law and
how these laws work. The authority which Satan took by fraudulent and deceptive
means in the garden of Eden Jesus got back by passing Adam’s test in the
wilderness and His cleansing blood at Calvary. This authority and power is
useless if we do not know we have it and if we do not know how too use it.
I have been
discussing our clothing in the preceding two articles. We indeed are not
naked. At the new birth we receive the garments of salvation and the robe of
righteousness.
Isaiah 61:10 (KJV)
10
I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall
be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation,
he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh
himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her
jewels.
However, to be a
part of the victorious, glorious end time Church there is much more with which
to be clothed. God gave us the garments of salvation and the robe of
righteousness but we must take everything else. It is not a theft but is for us
for the taking by faith. He will not make us put on the other coverings. It is
our responsibility to find out what these things are and press in to acquire and
use them. We must do this with ardent zeal.
Matthew 11:12 (AMP)
12 And from the
days of John the Baptist until the present time, the kingdom of heaven has
endured violent assault, and violent men seize it by force
[as a precious prize—a share in the heavenly
kingdom is sought with most ardent zeal and intense exertion].
We are about
spoiling the strong man’s goods and delivering people from this world system
(Babylonian System).
Matthew 12:29 (KJV)
29 Or else how can
one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind
the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.
We do this by the
blood, the word and the name!
This additional
clothing includes humility, light and the anointing of the Holy Spirit and
Power. The Scripture tells us to be clothed with humility.
1 Peter 5:5 (KJV)
5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all
of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God
resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
It is our
responsibility to be clothed with humility. God will not make you be humble;
you must chose to be humble, to submit one to another, to honor not only God but
each other. In a nutshell these things mean that we make every effort to in no
way offend each other or God. The presence of humility precludes pride and
arrogance. Quit saying what about me and start saying what can I do for you
today Lord and what can I do for someone else today. Notice in the following
verse we are told exactly why we are to be clothed with humility.
1 Peter 5:8 (KJV)
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a
roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Study the life of
Daniel and you will see why he was not devoured of the lions. This is a lesson
as to how we can keep the devourer out of our lives. Keeping the devourer out
of our lives involves more then paying tithes although that is a very important
facet. Submission, honor and reverence are not just important in our
relationship with God but with each other. Remember, we are all made in the
image and likeness of God.
Genesis 1:26 (KJV)
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:
and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the
air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing
that creepeth upon the earth.
God also wants us
clothed in light. Remember, He, God the Father, is light.
1 John 1:5 (KJV)
5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare
unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
Jesus the Son is
also light (John 1:1-4, John 8:12). In both of the following Scriptures we find
out that we also are light in this world.
Matthew 5:14 (KJV)
14 Ye are the
light of the world.
A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
John 8:12 (KJV)
12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying,
I am the light of the world: he that followeth me
shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
Remember that
light reveals and those around you may not like the revealing of sin and
persecute you. Just remember you are in good company for they also persecuted
Jesus and He made it clear they would persecute us also.
John 15:20 (KJV)
20 Remember the
word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they
have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying,
they will keep yours also.
This light which
we got by way of Jesus is armour.
Romans 13:12 (KJV)
12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast
off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
Notice we are to
put on the armour of light. Now, the light is the Word of God. We are
literally clothed with Christ Jesus.
Romans 13:14 (KJV)
14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for
the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
Walk in the light,
walk in Him, devour and meditate the Word day and night and you will be
clothed. Know who you are! Since God is light (1 John 1:5) and we are told to
put on the armour of light, we could then say it is the armour of God. This is
where we will pick up next month.
Finally, we must
be clothed in the Holy Spirit. That is we must be baptized in the Holy Spirit
with the evidence of speaking in tongues. This was the mantle Adam lost due to
sin and Jesus regained by the absence of sin and is now been shed upon us and
fills us. Jesus was anointed of God with the Holy Spirit and Power and He went
about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil (Acts 10:38)
and so are we to do also. We have that anointing that created all things and we
are to lift burdens and destroy yokes.
Isaiah 10:27 (KJV)
27 And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden
shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and
the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.
Until next time, I
pray that you prosper (finances) in all things and that you be in health (body)
even as your soul (mind, will and emotions) prospers (3 John 1:2).
