LIGHT – THE FORTH
SPIRITUAL LAW

We here at
Eastern Gate Ministries greet our Partners and Friends in the name of our Lord
and Savior Christ Jesus. The month of April is upon us, yet another opportunity
for victory in Christ Jesus. Every situation we confront or that confronts us
in this life is another opportunity to show the weakness of evil and the demonic
forces of evil and the strength of righteousness. The light always overcomes
the darkness. When we turn the light on in a room the darkness is overcome by
the light. The darkness is dominated by the light. There is much to say on
this topic of light so later in the year we may come back to this law of light.
For the law of light is not only a law but a position or place.
In the beginning
man was made in the image and likeness of the Lord God.
Genesis 1:26 (KJV)
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:
and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of
the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every
creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
This means that we were made to look like God and to act
like God. As part of this we were given dominion over the earth or over the
natural forces in the earth. This is the first area of dominion given to
righteous man. This why Jesus could stand up and say “peace,
be still” to the storm (Mark 4:39). As you will
see as this article progresses we were given dominion not only over all the
earth but over the world system. And then in Christ Jesus a third area of
dominion was added and that is in heaven. I’m talking the third heaven where
the throne of God resides!
Genesis 2:7 (KJV)
7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and
breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Man was formed by
the LORD God. The word LORD we translate Jehovah which is the eternal God. The
word God is Elohim God, the pleural (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) God, the
Creator God. Literally God fashioned us a body and spoke into Adam an eternal
and creative spirit. His very own spirit, what was a part of God was now a part
of this man. So we are eternal as He is and we are creative as He is, spirit,
soul and body. Then He clothed us with Himself, specifically the Holy Spirit,
the light, the fire (heat) of God.
Ezekiel 1:26-27 (KJV)
26 And above the firmament that was over their heads was
the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the
likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above
upon it.
27 And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round
about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the
appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire,
and it had brightness round about.
Now when we think
about walking in the light as He is in the light it has a new and illuminated
meaning, praise the Lord. It is the same as saying walk in the spirit. This
light, the Holy Spirit, now is filling us and overflowing our bodies. Walk in
full harmony with Him and the blood of Jesus will cleanse us continually causing
an impenetrable hedge about us, protecting us from the destroyer, allowing us to
prosper in Goshen. Praise be to God!
1 John 1:7 (KJV)
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have
fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us
from all sin.
The Scripture
tells us that the natural things that we can see round about us will teach us
spiritual truth.
Romans 1:20 (KJV)
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are
clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his
eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
On the first day
of this present creation God created light. Darkness was already present. This
light was a physical substance that we call photons. These photons are the
substance of light. Darkness is the absence of activated photons.
Genesis 1:3-5 (KJV)
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the
light from the darkness.
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And
the evening and the morning were the first day.
Light is
illumination, happiness and clarity which is all the things that are operative
in our lives as a result of the Word of God (our light). The “Day” means heat,
heat draws; literally it means to be hot. We are indwelt by the Holy Spirit the
fire of God. On the other hand darkness is descriptive of the curse including
misery,
destruction, death, ignorance, sorrow, and wickedness. In the natural we tend
to avoid darkness and stay in the light and so must we in our Christian life.
The word “Night” means a twisting away from the light. Wickedness is a twisting
away from the Truth or away from the light.
You and I
brother and sister are children of the day, children of the light. Remember God
is light.

5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare
unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
God is our father
therefore we are children of light.
James 1:17

17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh
down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither
shadow of turning.
1 Thessalonians
5:5 (KJV)
5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day:
we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
John 12:36 (KJV)
36 While ye have light, believe in
the light, that ye may be the children of light.
These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.
To bring this
into some focus, look at what happens when the Church withdraws to within its
four walls. The Church, indwelt by the Holy Spirit, are activated photons
(Christians). This is why we the Church must be engaged in the culture,
involved in every sphere of influence. If we are not engaged then there is
darkness. We are activated by the Holy Spirit. In the natural, the energy of
an electric circuit or the sun causes photons to be activated and there is light
and the darkness is overcome.
Now let us
explore a second area of dominion. This second area of dominion is dominion
over the forces of evil, over the world system. I trust that you understand
that much can be said in all these areas but I am hoping that this scratching of
the surface will cause illumination, logos to be transformed to rhema and fill
your heart bringing you to the maturity of a son of God.

14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven
to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons,
and for days, and years:
15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give
light upon the earth: and it was so.
16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day,
and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon
the earth,
18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the
light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
Notice that God
made certain lights to divide the day from the night. And these lights would be
the signal or you might say they could even proclaim the signs of the times, or
the season in which one is living. A sign can be many things among which are
directions or evidence. Evidence would be a healing for example, which is a
sign; it is something that directs one to the light, to God. A season is a
“moed” in Hebrew which is where place, purpose and time intersect. For example,
Christians use the term “a season of refreshing”.
These lights were
to give light upon the earth. The Scripture goes on to say that He created the
sun and the moon. The sun represents Jesus who rules over the children of the
day. The moon is representative of Satan who rules over the children of the
night. Remember the children of the night will twist away from light and their
world is filled with
misery,
destruction, death, ignorance, sorrow, wickedness. And God
made the stars; you and I brother and sister are the stars of God. He set us in
the earth to give light upon the earth. Without us there is no light in the
earth, spiritual light. The sun (Jesus) and the stars (Church) are to rule over
both the day and the night and to show a clear difference between the day and
the night. So dear child of God you have a responsibility to shine in this
earth under the leadership of the Holy Spirit. In so doing you will show a
clear difference between the day and night and you will have and exercise
dominion over the spiritual powers of darkness. This is exciting information,
praise ye the Lord!
The third sphere
of dominion for man is heaven itself! This came through Christ Jesus. The
following passage spoken by Jesus just minutes before His ascension to the right
hand of Majesty on High is our power of attorney to use His name. A power of
attorney gives the designated person (you and me) the same power or access as
that of the designating person (Jesus).
Matthew 28:18-20 (KJV)
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying,
All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the
Holy Ghost:
20
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I
am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.
Amen.
Adam did not have
access or dominion in the third heaven. His dominion was isolated to the first
heaven, the atmospheric envelope about the earth and the earth itself. But
remember we are a new creation or new creature! By the finished work of Jesus
at Calvary we can by grace through faith motivated by love with our words reach
into the third heaven for whatever is needed in the earth. Remember we are
joint-heirs with Christ Jesus who is heir of all. Through the blessing of
Abraham, we who are in Christ Jesus are possessors of heaven and earth. And you
didn’t think you had what was needed to get your job done in the earth?
2 Corinthians
5:17-18 (KJV)
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new
creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to
himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
Remember we are
created in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:10), in the light if you will. Adam was
clothed with the Holy Spirit but he did not have one that was able to keep him
from falling (Jude 1:24), he did not have our better covenant (Hebrews 12:24).
But we are created in Christ Jesus so not only do we have the indwelling and
overflowing Holy Spirit as did Adam but we are in Christ, the anointed One.
This is a very unique and special place and we are unique and special creation.
All sin is set aside forever except the sin of the rejection of the Holy Spirit
when He calls us to Christ. God is going to brag on us in the ages to come. We
are a unique people like none that ever were or like none in the ages to come.

7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his
grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

7 And now God can always point to us as examples of how very, very
rich his kindness is, as shown in all he has done for us through Jesus Christ.

21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout
all ages, world without end. Amen.

21 May he be given glory forever and ever through endless ages
because of his master plan of salvation for the Church through Jesus Christ.
There is much
more to say, but think of it saints of God, we are in the light and we are the
light, we have dominion in the earth, over the darkness of the world system and
we can reach right into heaven to do the work of the Kingdom. Praise be unto
our God, the Lord God Almighty!
